The United Nations says more than seven million Pakistanis are still without shelter nearly 100 days after devastating floods hit the country.
The UN says almost two million homes were either destroyed or damaged by the floods.

"At least seven million people are currently without shelter in the flood-affected areas," UN spokeswoman Stacey Winston told a news conference in Islamabad.

The world body says 14 million people are in need of immediate humanitarian help.

This is while the UN has launched several appeals for funding the aid initiative to help the victims of the worst natural disaster in Pakistan's history.

The UN says millions of people have been left without food, water, shelter and other basic necessities in Pakistan as the result of floods.

A Press TV report says that millions of Pakistani flood victims are leading miserable lives in several districts in southern Sindh Province.

Survivors have been left without food, water, shelter and other basic necessities in Pakistan as a result of the July-August flooding.

Some 2,000 people have lost their lives due to the weeks-long floods that engulfed an area the size of England. Pakistan's worst-ever floods have affected 21 million others.

With winter right around the corner, cold and hunger threaten millions of people still without basic necessities.
