It is genocide - by any name. As a proportion of the population of Iraq, and mostly military-age men, combined with the permanent bases being built - is it anything but a permanent occupation while annihilating the natives -
The earth beneath us screams for justice while most people remain silent.

Nevertheless, despite Zogby's assurance about the credibility of the study - putting his own worldwide reputation for accuracy on the line - the Bush administration continues to deny reality.
In fact, Bush has turned denial into a fine art."I am - you know, amazed that this is a society which so wants to be free that they're willing to [tolerate this level of violence].
[But,] 600,000 or whatever they guessed at, is not credible." - George W. Bush But, as we know too well from 9/11, denying it - however ardently - doesn't mean that it isn't true.
"I can't vouch for [the 650,000+ figure] 100%. But, I'll vouch for it 95%, which is as good as it gets in survey research.
* * * "In terms of the sampling methodology used, this is sound and this is going to generate quite a bit of debate.
I don't think that there's anybody in my business who responsibly believes that 30-40 or 45,000 Iraqis have been killed, since March of 2003." - John Zogby, Zogby International ____ "That was always a nonsense figure." - News anchor, CNN International_____________
Exactly, how many Iraqis have been killed since the US invaded and occupied their land, no one can be 100% sure. But, clearly - the number of lives lost far exceeds 'official' tolls and probably is close to 650,000.
One thing is certain - hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis know the Truth and so do their loved ones, who survived.

And happening under our very noses.
