I'm afraid I don't see any grand conspiracy here (and I'm a big fan of most of them). The Russian leader is simply calling the world situation for what it is - criticial. Here's some details:
(i) If the Chinese economic growth rate falls below 6% pa (which is likely; no-one can sustain high growth rates forever) then, according to some of the China experts I've been reading, serious civil disorder will follow. Basically, China will fall apart if ordinary Chinese can't get a piece of the Western way of life with all the mod cons. The likelihood of China imploding is almost certain within twenty years or so.
(ii) The world population is growing from 6.5 billion now to 9 billion in 2050. This is such an unbelievable claim on our environmental, political and economic resources that we ought to expect as a matter of course the likely deaths of hundreds of millions between now and then from global pandemics, nuclear attacks, resource wars, starvation. (Particularly if you throw in alleged Peak Oil claims.) The current political mechanisms are not up to handling these growth statistics. We WILL accept more totalitarian restraints on our lives, because the resource demands will mandate it for everybody.
(iii)Global Warming. Everything that has been written about it is true. It's coming and we WILL blow our 10 year window of opportunity to forestall catastrophe. So all nations are going to be hunkering down and cleaning up for a hundred years at least.
(iv) Nuclear Proliferation will ensure that either George Bush will nuke Iran or some mad mullah will start dropping nuclear bombs. Either way, the environmental effects will be so clear that people everywhere will demand these weapons be decommissioned entirely. Political leaders who support their use will be seen (rightfully) as traitors and as mentally disturbed.
(v) The global economy (because of all the factors previously mentioned).
In days gone by, when some lunatic leader thought they'd been spoken to by God, they could invade a neighbour and - worst case scenario - kill a million or two people. The world could recover. That's all changed now. It truly is possible to decimate whole continents through war, nuclear weapons, disease, whatever. All the problems have been upsized and there is no room to fudge solutions.
The real problem is that the world is coming to a point where it is becoming clear that human resources can no longer be squandered as the toys of individual political leaders. I, for one, look forward to that day. The human ego has been over-rated for a very long time.
I don't know that I agree with you on the population issue - a cursory look at anemic birth rates, global pandemics, and other natural disasters where people are dying in droves tells you that the "population problem" is more hyped up than it really is.
But, I agree that the human ego - I like to refer to it as arrogance - has been far over-rated for a very, very long time.
Ego Over-rated? Obviously we're not one of the privilaged few entitled to a personality or free will. They should take away our ego's so we can no longer think for ourselves and we should then put our brains in the hands of our world government leader/leaders.

A person can be perfectly free, yet live in harmony with everything and everyone around them IF they don't consider themselves more important than everything and everyone else.
That's the point - not that people should relinquish their personalities to a one world government.
People should be led by principles of Co-existence - NOT by other people with agendas of world domination.

First, George Bush, Sr. Now, a Russian foreign minister. Yet, they still call The New World Order a 'crazy conspiracy theory.' My ass. Russia does not see a reasonable alternativeto the creation of a new collective leader comprising key, highly industrialized countries in the world, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an article published in the Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias over his two-day visit in Lisbon that will begin on Monday.
According to the minister, these key countries should be “representative in terms of geography and civilisation.” “The Group of Eight (G8) may become an important aspect of an informal mechanism of a new collective leader,” Lavrov pointed out.
Russia is ready to make a contribution in the creation of a new universal system that will be safer and democratic based on the principles of law and multilateral cooperation, Sergei Lavrov said.
“Abandoning the ideology of the past in favour of common sense,” now Russia has “a broad and unbiased view on all issues,” the minister emphasized.
The Russian foreign minister stressed “the independence of Russia’s foreign policy.” He called it “the main achievement of the last few years” and “the unconditional imperative” everybody should take into account.
“We will cooperate with all partners without discrimination and only with the position of full equality considering interests of each other and mutual benefits,” Lavrov remarked.
As long as Russia’s confidence in its possibilities is growing, “our country turned in the most predictable factor of international policy,” the foreign minister noted. He pledged that “Russia will take balanced positions in the future, act as an important factor of world diplomacy.” If there is no alternative except a One World Government, then the outcome of these wars and those to come will determine who will run it. But, who will fight these wars?
Wakeup America. This - not freedom - is what you're being asked to fight for, and they can't do it without our consent.
