Tel Aviv launches terrorist attack against Lebanese civilian infrastructures after two soldiers are seized
Russia, France and the EU have complained about the disproportionate use of force by Israel, after Lebanese civilian infrastructures were targeted by israeli military hardware today. 35 civilians were murdered in the terrorist attack by Israel, in which the Beirut International Airport was bombed, several towns were shelled and an air and sea blockade was imposed in acts of state terrorism and international piracy
The Israeli Armed Forces also launched an attack against a Lebanese air base in the Bekaa Valley.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry states that these acts of aggression come as a reply to the capture of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah forces operating in Southern Lebanon, who they accose of trying to take their captives to Iran.
Naila Mouawad, the Lebanese Social Affairs Minister, declared to the press in Beirut today that "We think that the Israeli response is too hard ... on the people of Lebanon, who have been taken hostage."
If Israel thinks it is proportionate to use military hardware against civilians because two soldiers were captured not by the Lebanese Army but by Hezbollah operationals, who do not have the support of all the Lebanese Government, it is a clear sign that Tel Aviv these days is thrashing around in the death throes provoked by decades of arrogance, as it has lost the hearts and minds of the international community by refusing to leave the territories it holds illegally under international law.
If Israel responds to terrorists with terrorism, then it has become a terrorist state and as such has begun to justify tit-for-tat attacks. What is the difference between an Israeli civilian being murdered by a Palestinian or Hezbollah terrorist and a Lebanese civilian being murdered by an Israeli terrorist?

President Bush today laughed off a quip from Vladimir Putin about Dick Cheney's quail-hunting accident[.]

The US Vice-President angered the Kremlin with a speech in May in which he accused Russia of [using] its energy reserves as "tools of intimidation or blackmail".

Mr Putin replied to the criticism this week, likening it to "an unsuccessful shot on his hunting trip[.]"

Asked about the jibe today, Mr Bush replied: "It was pretty clever - actually quite humorous. Not to diss (show disrespect to) my friend the Vice-President."
But Mr Bush said that he would take care not to lecture Mr Putin during his visit to Russia. "Nobody really likes to be lectured a lot. And, therefore, *** if you want to be an effective person,*** what you don’t do is scold the person publicly all the time," he said. Georgey Porgey better steer clear of Dick this hunting season.
