Disproportionate?? No justification?? Any idea how many Israeli civilians have died since the start of this infitada at the hands of suicide bombers? Palestinians are blowing themselves up in cafe's in Tel Aviv and the world community tells Israel that the appropriate response is to give back land to the Palestinians that they never wanted until Israeli's moved into to it. So Israel forces thousands of people out of their homes in Gaza so the Palestinians can have the land and what do they do? They don't build homes and schools - they launch rockets. So, what would you propose to stop the suicide bombings and rocket attacks? I suppose you think Israel should continue to reward terrorism by giving away land. Doesn't that sound ridiculous?

Not at all, ending the Occupation, negotiating a peace settlement with the Palestinians based on Israeli withdrawal to 1967 borders; and a Palestinian recognition of Israel, end of terror, and renunciation of a right of return to Israel proper--all that sounds quite reasonable to me and most of the rest of the world (excluding your two nitwit commenters).

I wonder if any of this would be happening if America and us Americans had abided by the contract that we all have with each other, including our crummy politicians, troops could not have been sent into World War 1, which was the beginning of the rogue state of Isreal. It is unconstitutional, (article 1 section 8 part 16 and article 4 section 4), for ORDERED up troops to be used outside the United States. Duh, like the government should be able to order us away from our homes, its a no brainer.

All of this sounds reasonable to the rest of the world with the notable exception of the Palestinians who have made it clear that they have no interest is recognizing Israel's right to exist or stopping the violence. Israel pulled all of their people out of Gaza and then the Palestinians turned around and popularly elected a terrorist group to lead them. A terrorist group who has it in their charter to push Israel into the sea.Suicide bombing attempts occur almost daily.
Try to refrain from namecalling. It doesn't foster dialogue.

Hamas was a creature of Shin Bet and the Mossad to begin with; the Menachem Begin government actually FUNDED Sheik Ahmed Yassin's Hamas as a counterweight to the the secular nationalist PLO in the occupied territories. Yitzhak Rabin apologized to the Israeli people for their government's historic support for Hamas.
