Well, this rabbi represents one viewpoint of Judaism, amongst many. He is not fearing for his life by saying this. On the other hand, Salman Rushdie still has an outstanding fatwa on his head.
Btw, for the record, the reason why Jews do have so many topmost positions in the government and media, it has nothing to do with a zionist conspiracy. It has all to do with an extreme culture of learning. Across the world, Jewish families teach their children a love of learning from a very small age. In the Jewish tradition, the scholar is in the highest esteem. Second or equal to scholarship is a sense of humor. Just sit around a Jewish family meal ONCE and you will see what I refer to. The ability to laugh at oneself and the world is instrinsicly part of being a Jew.
The combination of both explains the profileration of Jewish lawyers and doctors, as well as Jewish comedians.
In my own family, my relatives are all doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers, or in the media. They are professionals. Are they there because of a "Zionist conspiracy?" HELL NO. I should know about my own family. They are in their professions because of a natural predilection and talent for such professions.

In the same Talmud which you quote saying that Jews may not return to the Holy Land it says that if a Jewish Court of Law would put to death a person more than once in seven years (and others say in 70 years!) that court of law was considered a 'murderous court'!

But wouldn't the same Judaism ask you to - instead of instigating murder and death of fellow Jew - help bring about the downfall of Zionism, not by shooting them away, but by spreading the wisdom of the Holy Books you are so fond of quoting.
