That's my response to the recent "major victory" by Democrats, in the Maryland state Assembly, who managed to override the governor's veto of the Fair Share Health Care Plan, which "requires companies employing more than 10,000 people to spend at least eight percent of their payroll on health care benefits."

(You'd think it would be obvious that this "victory" will encourage employers to either stay below the 10,000 range, or pay employees less to reduce their 8% liability.)

Nevertheless, let's assume arguendo that the law has an impact. While these guys are busy scuffling in the limelight over who gets the crumbs from the dinner table, American and international corporations - most notably the Federal Reserve banks and its minions - carve up all the meat BEFORE it even gets to the table - I like to call it Pre-distribution of wealth.

Now, this is not an attempt to bash Democrats or AFL-CIO, or to support Wal-Mart, which as a rule of thumb capitalizes its operations with about 40% DEBT (2005 Annual report (PDF), top of page 30).

(They could, if they wanted, operate debt free. But, they prefer to pay tens of millions in INTEREST on that debt rather than secure health benefits for their workers.)

I am all for universal healthcare. But, if we want to reduce taxpayer bills and "level the playing field between companies that provide good jobs and benefits and those that don’t," we're going to have to get our priorities straight.

If we even hope to stop the massive transfer of wealth from working class and poor Americans to the idle rich around the world, we must start NOW.

(Yes, I said poor Americans - taxes come in all flavors. For God sakes, poor Americans even pay taxes on the Dollar Menu at McDonald's. And all this tax goes to pay someone, somewhere INTEREST.)

It's time to wake up America.

There are only two types of people in this world, those who COLLECT more interest than they pay, and those who PAY more interest than they collect.

This MUST change, if we are to survive.

The money supply must be returned to the people and a decentralized, interest-free, non-profit banking system established in place of the current private, centralized, for-profit crony, otherwise known as the Federal Reserve System.
