After 3 weeks my 2d vertical scrolling shoot em up is nearing completion.The basic engine is finally running with bullets killing enemies,some powerups created,score,title and gameovers screens... All I have left to do is to get the enmeies coming in in patterns form different sides of the screen and maybe have one or two of them shooting.Also need to allow the player to be killed or for shields to decrease or something. The game iself is crap but Im proud I managed to stick with it and am probably actually going to finish it. Not finished a java project fully before..Too lazy. Plus Im quite proud of my parallax starfield background and the powerup that bounces the players bullets off the walls of the game. Maybe once the game is done I might port it to my mobile phone or rewrite in c++.
