You need to be less pessimistic about your mod's chances at winning these competitions - evidently some people believe your mod to be as good as, if not better than the other mods in that list, otherwise it wouldn't even be there.
Well, when it comes to comparing singleplayer mods and multiplayers mods, the laters tend to attract a lot more people on a lot longer period. Some of these are active since several years and are dragging a huge community behind them. We'll see what comes out of this vote, but if your chances are only linked to your fan base, then it will be hard =)

I agree with Hunter X, you guys act like P:P is just some random project somebody made, it couldn't ever possibly win. Show some pride in your work, it's definitely better than I've seen. I believe it's even better than Minerva:Metastasis, if anyone here ever played that(mod for HL2).
Today, the votes for ModDB's Mod of the Year ended.
We are now waiting for the results, but I doubt we'll get anything against such badass mods like the 99 others.
But today is also the day FilePlanet launched their "Best of 2008" Awards! And surprise, Portal: Prelude is nominated in their "Mod of the Year" category. There is only 8 mods in competition, so I believe we have a bit more chances to win something in their Awards than in ModDB's. Even if we are competing against the 7 most downloaded mods of 2008 xD The votes are now closed.[Image]

Either way, Portal Prelude has my vote.

I know, that's maybe a side effect of people always writing that the mod was over-hyped. Some sort of Stockholm syndrome.
