You seem to forgetting that Western involvement began when Gaddafi was shaping up to wipe out Benghazi. Apart from that, evidence was already filtering out (al-Jazeera is my main news source on Libya) of mass graves, underground death prisons and the like. ie things that the western media don't seem to have covered.

The problem of Nigerian citizens being killed is down to the fact that Gaddafi employed countless mercenaries from various African countries. Undoubtedly many civilian immigrant workers were killed - and that has to be condemned. But doesn't that happen in war - it's the civilians who suffer most?

As for China, the NTC knows who has the expertise, etc: and the Chinese contractors will be welcomed back.
