The Simpsons definitely stands out as an ongoing classic. Futurama?, with Bender the drunken, theiving, foul-mouthed robot. Family Guy?, with the talking dog.
Ren & Stimpy: The two main characters are an "asthma-hound" chihuahua named "Ren Höek" and a cat named "Stimpson J. Cat" Yes, that is worthy. Rob needs some education on how to find the humour in American cartoons (amongst other things). Beavis & Butthead are pants, "No sir, I don't like it!". King of the Hill, MUCH better.
