Because the original developer stopped working on the project at build 1.0.4, its been open source development since.
Works well! Dreamcast emulation has come along nicely.

This is an optimized build. nullDC is an open source Sega Dreamcast(DC) and NAOMI videogame systems emulator for Microsoft Windows. nullDC runs several Dreamcast games at good speed, with full sound and music. NullDC requires the latest version of Microsoft DirectX, the latest Visual C++ runtime libraries and optionally WinPcap for modem emulation. As usual for emulators, a dump of the original console BIOS is also needed. It has a plugin architecture, with several alternative implementations (some ported from Chankast) for graphics, sound, reading games burned to CD-ROMs (it cannot read GD-ROMs directly) or disk image files, memory cards, etc.
nullDC SVN Changelog: r138 nullAICA/audiosteam: --Improved the way audio sync works, editing some code that called to win32 way too often --moving 1 line around: +10% on speed (from 440 to 485% on my pc ..) r139 pvr/threading tweaked the render timing a bit, further 2-3% speedup on 3d heavy scenes for multicores ..

Runs flawlessly on my rig. I also enabled Anisotropic Filter x16 through nVidia panel and it looks sweet.

I doesn't save my game progress when I attempt to save, but it may be a game issue (Sword of Berserk). Beyond that it's alright.
