Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia

It's nasty for a different reason.

@Anon, maybe you could use Eat, Pray, Love to sop that up before it ruins "the good books."

Note: haven't actually read EPL yet, but I'm willing to play along.

Hysteric Four : Femalien by Charlie White. Contains nude photos of a woman in alien costume. The oddest thing of all is that I work at a business library.

If patrons hadn't already cut all the pictures out, I'd say it was the Mapplethorpe coffeetable book.

I run a sexual health library. You've just described all the books we have - which I use in displays all the time :)

My former library celebrated banned book week by placing famous banned books and challenged books in a glass display case for a month...ensuring no one checked them out.

Maisy Goes Swimming

Again, nasty for another reason... and I'm probably the only one that thinks so.

@Cool Young Librarian

Apparently you may not be the only one that thinks 'Maisy Goes Swimming' is nasty - all the copies available in our catalogue are REF and you can't place holds.

What's so bad about swimming Maisy???

At second glance, the general note added is kinda skeezy, but that could just be me.
