At my school library we had to wear our school uniforms, but that doesn't stop us wearing copious amounts of badges, the frizzy hair style and the the "SHHHHHHHHHH" sound perfected out.
Heh heh heh. Love this thread. Thank God (a) I'm a medical librarian (b) my salary is enough to afford cute clothes and a gym membership. I will quit if they make me wear scrubs.
Not trying to playa-hate my school/public librarian peeps. Seems like the medical lib crowd has escaped some of the stereotypes. Emphasis on "some."

I swear part of the reason I got the job was I looked flawless and young--low-cut sleeveless top, flat front military length skirt, and red shoes.
Oh, and I was overqualified, but really young for the type of position, and local, so more affordable than the other applicants.
