When I was in college, I never could get a reference librarian's help because they were always too busy eating lunch at their desks.

I was overjoyed when my library changed its policy on beverages. Somehow, a cup of hot tea makes a book even better.

We allow "covered" drinks. We had to ask a man who had a lovely steak dinner, a fork, steak knife and cloth napkin to please eat his meal outside.

We had lots of cake in the backroom that day...

I find it a bit depressing when patrons eat better than I do

We allow 'covered' drinks and turn a blind eye to snack food - but hot food, especially things like dimsims or hot chips, get asked to leave!

We're a public library, and while our patrons are allowed to have whatever food they want, for the most part. But we can't have any food at the desk. :(
