The zombie fad only died off in the past year or so, we won't pick it up for at least another year. Maybe it will fit in with our bean bag seating initiative.

I work at library where circulation and reference are completely separate. As a result, if we have few patrons around, I have enough time to plan escape routes in case of zombie attack. Unfortunately, due to the wall of plate glass windows that front our building, we are utter zombie-fodder.

And how would that look be different from our standard reference desk denizens' take on life?

I use scientific articles on zombies for presentations to undergrad students. They may remember how to find the books or citation help, but they will know what to do in a zombie attack and do a good job figuring out the citation. http://mysite.science.uottawa.ca/rsmith43/Zombies.pdf

It's from 2006, but we had a promotion that featured Zombrarian. Here's the book she came up with after the fact:

Enjoy!

We just did a really big outreach project involving zombies that played off of the game Humans versus Zombies. We've got a Zombie Survival Guide available here: http://libguides.uttyler.edu/zombies. I also posted a recap of some of the things we did here: http://referenceninja.wordpress.com/.
