I have one librarian action figure out. I have another in a drawer, actually, because someone gave me an extra. I've been trying to give it away to one of my colleagues, but can't convince anyone to take it.
Along with Nancy Pearl, I have Pope Innocent III, the Buddy Christ, and a nun who shoots sparks (I work at a divinity school library).

You can't get rid of those Nancy Pearl things. They stick to you like burrs. Everyone's got one. The market is oversaturated, people!
#1 Weed the Beanie Baby price guides published before 2005 (which will likely be all of them) #2 Print out their true values from eBay #3 Ask about her retirement fund

I have neither Beanie Babies nor Librarian Action figure, but I do have Sigmund Freud and Moses (with the Big 10) action figures. As the building's only Jew I think it's appropriate.
I've been looking for a Librarian Action Figure. Where is the best place to find them?

If you froogle "nancy pearl librarian" you get 46 hits, so take your pick actlikeone. I do recommend that you spend the extra $3 for the deluxe version though (she comes with a book truck and other fun accessories)
I have one Beanie Baby in my office (a hedgehog), but I thoroughly understand that I deserve to be mocked for it. I'm even a dual-degree law school librarian, but that hasn't stopped me.

Forget Beanie Babies! The limit for cat "things" is ZERO. I work with a librarian that has a cat wastebasket, cat calendar, cat screensaver, cat post-it notes, cat figurines AHHHHH!

We have 3 librarian action figures in the room I'm in now, but only one in view:
Our Witch Librarian - She may be getting a little out of hand.
All of my beanie babies are cats. I keep them safely at home. I am a part time reference librarian and share the public reference desk. I don't have space for "art" objects but have a single red silk rose on display.

A magic 8 ball is all you need ... best way to decide which vendor to give all the library's funding to.

Ok, related to this - what about vendor freebies on your desk? I am especially proud of freebies from vendors who no longer exist: my Rowecom coffee mug, a Northern Light screenwiper and (half related, but the key piece of my collection) a stack of PostIt notes from ENRON!!
What do you guys do with vendor freebies? BTW - what is the etiquette on collecting bags full of freebies during trade fairs?
Librarians should be aware that there is a limit to the number of Beanie Babies that may be tastefully used to decorate one's workspace. That limit is zero.

I wouldn't dare bring my librarian action figure to my new job, but I did bring my Jane Austen bobblehead. She rocks!

But you are leaving out the BEST librarian figure: Rex Libris!
He even has his own comic book series. http://www.slavelabor.com/

It's the para"professional" who decorate with Beanie Babies. The problem is getting them to leave them off of the circulation desk!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!
I hate Beanie Babies.
