Isn't it bad enough cleaning icky "funky smells" and unknown (it is for the best) residues from returned books? Why did you have to give me these nightmares? ? ? ? There is absolutely NOT enough bug killer/repellent/pesticide/protection in the world to make me feel safe now that bed bugs are infesting libraries. What's next? the Hanta virus? ? ? ? ?

I practically stopped bringing library books home due to this issue. If we have something on order that I'm interested in, I try to check it out before it gets put out for circ, otherwise forget it, I'd rather not take it.

when it comes to bringing library books in to bed, bedbugs are about the least of my concerns (what is that stuck to the book jacket!?)

The best way to keep your library from becoming infested with bedbugs is to burn the building to the ground and invest all the insurance money into your e-book collection.
