Exactly. I've been wanting to start a Campaign Against Tackiness. People will roll their eyes and dismiss me as "politically correct," but I think of it as manners. Racism?: tacky. Sexism?: tacky. Not pushing your chair in when you get up from the PC?: tacky. Wearing your pants so big that your boxers show and you have to gather them up like a skirt to walk?: tacky. Littering: very tacky. Cell phone with "Sandsford & Son" theme going off in the public library? -- well, okay, that was funny.

Amen! Keep your racism to yourself. It isn't that interesting or intellectual. We don't want to hear it!

If we are the defenders of freedom then we can not be on some moral high horse about these things. I embrace them because it makes others uncomfortable and it is a reality that must be faced when encountered and not pull some PC stance toward it or attempt to hide from it. I do not want to hear about my coworker's cats and kids so they will have to deal with the bile that spews out of my food hole
