Marian McClure Taylor

About Me

The Rev. Dr. Marian McClure Taylor became the Executive Director of the Kentucky Council of Churches on June 15, 2009, having been elected by the KCC’s board on April 28. Marian was awarded a Ph.D. in political science at Harvard University in 1986. In that program, she was allowed to create a specialization in “development administration,” the study of the development of governments and public services in the wake of global de-colonization. The history of community development was part of that study. For her Fulbright-funded dissertation research, she spent more than a year in rural Haiti studying the community development work done under the aegis of Roman Catholic missionary orders.
