About Me

Cox is a principal partner with 5W Mignon Media, working for international clients on news publication production, online news production and journalism training. He also currently freelances as a Sweden-based journalism trainer, news media researcher, photojournalist and journalist. He has worked as a photojournalist for The Associated Press, Bloomberg News and the New York Times and other news media organziations. Cox recently completed a nine-month Knight International Press Fellowship as a journalism trainer, advisor and reporting coach in Prague. He has led workshops on news media topics including post-conflict reporting, election reporting, diversity reporting, online journalism, television news production and photojournalism in Mongolia, Serbia, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and other countries. Cox has worked as a correspondent for The St. Petersburg Times (Fla.), a sports writer for The Stuart News (Fla.), a freelance photographer and magazine writer, an AP reporter in Miami, a multimedia editor for the AP in NYC and a special projects producer for two years at CBSNews.com in NYC.
