About Me

Still a Northerner at heart, I recently relocated to the West Midlands to start a new job in technology. Outside work I enjoy: spending time at the odd pub quiz, steak, Guinness, Scotch, live music, stand-up comedy, theatre, TV, reading, self-deprecation to the amusement of others, procrastinating etc. Very occasionally I crave a hefty dosage of adrenaline and have the need to do something adventurous! I have done the obligatory trip around the world, skydive, flown in a hot air balloon and a helicopter. But these are the exceptions rather than the rule, I usually prefer creature comforts including drinking plenty of hot tea, cosy nights in with friends, sitcoms and takeaways. Ambitions are to continue to be happy, not annoy other people too much. Winning the lotto and buying a decent pub would be nice. I would be up for going into space and a spot of time travel to see how this whole human race thing pans out! My personal web log is a cathartic mix of links and comment concerned with disability, technology, media and consumerism. And any other day-to-day drivel which I want to get out of my system.

Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?
