About Me

My name is Richard. I am a down to earth bloke, like most people. Travelled a bit, lived a bit and seen too much. Can't stand patronising hypocrites or self-opinionated bloody wind-bags! I am a true believer in the guy on the shop floor on the lower step of the long, long ladder. The guy who looks with hope, ever upwards. I sang a happy song in May 1997 when Labour was finally elected after years of Thatcheristic crap – then my song soon turned to a sad little whimper as the realisation set in that we true Socialists had been conned by the big boys yet again. I cuddled up tight to myself, kept myself warm and cosy while outside – beyond my dark stone – there were sounds of needless self-destruction. The big boys were getting bigger and us little people were becoming weaker (you see - size really does matter when you are big). I popped my head out from my stone a few times – just to peek, but once again, I crawled back into the darkness and dreamt a dream that one day the truth will prevail and honest down to earth beings are treated with the respect they so desperately need in this world. It’s ever so dark in here – but at least I have a little dream to keep me company.
