Marie Radford

About Me

I am an Associate Professor at Rutgers. I love to teach & have taught at every grade level from K-graduate school. Am now teaching graduate LIS courses in reference, management, & interpersonal communication. My research is in interpersonal communication in reference interactions (traditional & virtual) and in media stereotypes of librarians. I am very happily married to Gary Radford and have a lovely daughter, Meg, who will be attending Rutgers University as of fall 2008 to study Animal Science. Because of Meg's work at St. Hubert's animal rescue we now have 3 cats, Lucifer (rescued from Brooklyn, & his name fits), Eco (rescued from South Jersey, named for Umberto Eco) and Batman (rescued from near death sentence from central New Jersey). I am a Jersey Girl, born and raised in central New Jersey.
