| Introduction | My name is Steve and i'm 29. I have been a huge movie fan since i was very young, and for a while now i've been interested in a career in the film industry. I spent two years at college and three at university studying and making films. Ever since i first saw Jurassic Park at the cinema i have been in love with the movies. That film is a personal favourite of mine and Steven Spielberg is my favourite director. I own around 600 dvds and have been buying Empire and Total Film magazines every month for over ten years. My favourite movies are usually horror films, and recently i have been trying to catch up on some of the classics i have missed. I am also a huge fan of Asian cinema and own about 50 Asian horror films. I'll always remember seeing the Japanese film Ring for the first time. It was late at night and it was while i was at university. I watched it with no idea what it was, but it stuck in my mind for weeks afterwards. Not long after that the Asian horror genre exploded into the mainstream and the films became more widely available. If i could recommend a horror film to anyone it would be Ring, it began my love of Asian horrors and still terrifies me to this day. |
