Introduction I am a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc. and have written three musicals for the stage, Le Hot Blu (2009). Numbers, (2007) and Monk which is an AUDELCO AWARD winner. My professional career began at United Artists as a songwriter/ music director/record producer. My first film commission was a a piano concerto for the Peter Sellers film, "The World of Henry Orient." Also composed and scored the music for Director - Alex Matter's Venice Film Festival invitee The Drifter. I have also recorded two solo singer/songwriter albums, Contemplation (View) original released on Polydor Records and Ken Lauber@Large both CD's re-issued @ kenlauber.net I have recorded with Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Tim Hardin, Doc Watson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton, Richie Havens, Ric Danko and many others. My song compositions and instrumental music have been recorded by Hank Jones, Richie Havens, Joe Cocker, Tim Hardin, Gracie Slick, John Sebastian, Milt Jackson, Ray Brown, Paul Smith, Red Callender, Toots Theilman and Stanley Clark. Other film credits include: the original score to the documentary film In Search of Kundun with Martin Scorsese.
