Introduction I did something rather drastic this Mother's Day 2009. I stepped away from my role as mother for the occasion. Forsaking the dictates of Hallmark and with the blessings of my children and husband, I packed a bag, three small treasures, and went off on a self made solo retreat. This was a powerful turnaround experience for me, guided by the encouraging voice of Brother Lawrence whispered through audio. For two heavenly days, I was on cloud 9. When I came home, soon after unpacking my bag, i was sucked back to earth, my feet wedged once again in the sludge of everyday life. This series of thoughts and questions are about "unpacking" the Presence that I sensed so strongly throughout the weekend away. These curious writings follow the trail of my hiding and seeking as He woos me back through the chase of daily living. i hope to track His steps and mine throughout this year until next Mother's day. I invite you to come along in hopes that you can discern what He is reflecting of Himself to you NOTE: Labeled as ONE MOTHERS DAY AT A TIME,these entries will be interspersed, starting with the one titled, Rest and Be Holy. Listed with last one first.
