About Me

My name is Brenda York and I am an artist from San Diego, California. I have worked in many forms of fine art, always returning to painting. I love to paint. The images on this blog represent my personal challenge to create a new painting every day…well, almost every day. I’ll take weekends off but Monday through Friday I’ll be at my easel exploring color and light and the magic that can happen when you push blobs of paint around on a canvas. I mostly like to paint people; quirky, distorted people but sometimes a still-life will pop up as the painting of the day. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy making them!
