| Introduction | This is where I'm supposed to launch into some typical beauty blogger fodder about how I'm a "total beauty junkie" or "I test all the products so you don't have to!" (Barf.) I promise never to write anything that lame and if I do, please call me out on it. So what's my deal? I'm the former beauty editor of Jane magazine, and after its untimely demise in '07 I was a freelance beauty writer/editor/blogger writing for magazines such as Marie Claire, InStyle, Allure, Real Simple, Self, Wynn and Nylon, and I also covered beauty and style news for StyleList.com. Now I'm the executive editor at YouBeauty.com, which is a pretty sweet gig. I spend a hell of a lot of time talking to makeup artists, hair peeps, derms and plastic surgeons but only a fraction of the info ends up in print. This is my way of bringing the goods to you.
