Introduction I have been very involved in orgonomy since 1967 and have done cloudbusting, oranur work and laboratory experiments with orgone accumulators, medical DOR-busters, and pre-atomic chemistry. I was a student of Dr. Eva Reich, the daughter of Dr. Wilhelm Reich, who invented the cloudbuster, and have a letter from her saying I have learned what she has to teach and she considers me "very knowledgeable in this field".
Interests Joel Carlinsky has been actively involved in orgonomy since 1967, when he took part in a summer-long cloudbusting project in Massachusetts. In 1971, he did the first full-scale cloudbusting expedition since Reich, in Queensland, Australia. He also, later that same year, taught the first college-level course in Orgone Biophysics, for which 8 students received academic credit under an independent study program at the University of Massachusetts. He also made important observations on the wide-spread effects of oranur work on weather, studied the effects of oranur and cloudbusting on wildlife behavior and the effects of DOR on sound transmission in the atmosphere. Joel was one of only two people to attend the only seminar given by Eva Reich, the daughter and designated successor of Wilhelm Reich, entirely devoted to orgone biophysics, rather than the psychiatric and child-raising topics which usually dominated her seminars. After that seminar, which lasted an entire week of 6 to 8 hours a day, she told him, "Of all the people who have asked me questions about orgonomy since Reich died, you are the only one who asked the right questions." His most important interest is the potential impact of cloudbusting on the environment, for both good and ill. He has been an active campaigner for ecological responsibility in the cloudbusting field, in opposition to the growing mass hobby of cloudbusting at random by people with no ecological awareness or concern. This has made him many enemies, whose hostility he regards as evidence of his effectiveness.
