Introduction Ello is short for Ellen Oh. Transplanted from Brooklyn, NY, I'm a lawyer, a writer, and a college instructor now living near the nations capital. I have three smart, beautiful little girls and an ultra-supportive husband who tells me to write every day so that maybe, one day, I'll actually get a book published. I'm repped by the amazing Joe Monti of Barry Goldblatt Literary. And what do you know, Da Man was right! My first book, Prophecy,Prophecy Series Bk 1, is being published by HarperTeen for release in Winter 2013! Life is very good.
Interests FOOD! I collect cooking books, not to cook from, but to read, which drives my husband crazy! I am a Yankees fan. I love opera but hate the ballet. I love reading, going to the movies and listening to music. I also enjoy fishing and playing tennis. This isn't really an interest as much as a curse but I have a bloodhound-like nose which makes it difficult to deal with certain places like public bathrooms and public transportation.
Favorite Movies Godfather I and II, Gladiator, Monty Python's The Holy Grail and Life of Brian, The Princess Bride, Fish Called Wanda, Like Water for Chocolate, The Color Purple, Last of the Mohicans, Lord of the Rings, Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Matrix, Pan's Labryinth, and 300, just to name a few. On TV my favorite series was Band of Brothers. I also love Law & Order, House and Entourage.
Favorite Music The only kind of music I really don't like is country western.
Favorite Books To Kill a Mockingbird, Brown Girl Dreaming, The Count of Monte Cristo, Persuasion, The Color Purple, Emma, Matilda, Lord of the Rings, 100 Years of Solitude, The Joy Luck Club, Like Water for Chocolate, Harry Potter!, The Kite Runner, If I Stay, The Road, The Hunger Games, Silas Marner, Crime and Punishment, Les Miserables, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Remains of the Day, A Pale View of Hills, A Room with a View, Howard's End, A Gesture Life, Silk, When the Elephants Dance
