| Introduction | The Center for Global Education Namibia offers a semester program entitled "Nation Building, Globalization, and Decolonizing the Mind." Our students will learn about Namibia and South Africa as they struggle to build nationhood, deal with the legacies of apartheid and colonialism, and the challenges posed by the rapid process of globalization in today's world. The semester will begin with a two week travel seminar in Johannesburg, followed by three months of study and travel in Windhoek. We'll end the semester back in South Africa, this time in Cape Town. CGE presents an engaged and experiential approach to education, so many of us will intern or volunteer with local non-governmental organizations (NGO's), and we'll also spend up to three weeks living with local families.
