About me

Gender Male
Occupation Professor

Introduction My research interest is in creating and probing out-of-equilibrium soft matter systems using light. To this end, I explore the interface of statistical optics and soft matter physics including topics in light scattering, nanophotonics, optical forces, Brownian motion and pattern formation. I am an experimental physicist by training, but I am also deeply interested in theoretical and computational questions related to the above-mentioned topics. As an extension of my research, I enjoy exploring physics of everyday phenomena, and history and philosophy of science. I blog on my research and research-life : https://backscattering.blog/
