| Introduction | In the Fall of 2004 I lost my father to cancer. He never really had the chance to fight it having never regained consciousness after exploratory surgery. I know he suspected, but he never found out for certain the source of the black blotch on his chest xray. He was a strong man. A good man. And I miss him. It's not much, a token really, but this 100 mile ride that I'm training for is my attempt at giving him the fight that he never got to have. My ride, and the money raised won't win this fight right away, but we'll get some punches in and, someday, with time, persistence and focus, it will be won. Thanks. |
