About me

Introduction I work primarily in oils and pastels. I find the Virginia landscape wonderfully inspiring, and also continue to paint the beaches of Long Island and the coast of Maine. I am a "people watcher" and love to document people going about their everyday activities. I have been fortunate to have received numerous awards, including First Place at the League of Roanoke Artists 25th Annual Showcase of the Arts, and the 3rd Annual Westlake Library Juried Show. In 2009, I entered my first national show and had 2 of my paintings accepted. Since that time, I was accepted into the Appalachian Pastel Society’s 2nd National Juried Exhibition, judged by renowned artist Ann Templeton. What a huge honor that was! I am now focusing on painting in oils. My work is part of the Carilion Clinic's permanent collection at Smith Mountain Lake and in Roanoke. I am a member of the League of Roanoke Artists, the Smith Mountain Arts Council, Goose Creek Studio, and Old Jail Hill Art Space.
