Introduction I received my BA in history and philosophy from the University of Buffalo in 1952, and my JD from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law in 1956. Admitted to the California State Bar in 1957; was on active duty in the US Army 1957-63, including service as a JAGC officer in France (1930-63). I was a deputy district attorney for Los Angeles County, 1963-1993, with extensive appellate practice which included twice appearing before the United States Supreme Court. My wife, Annegret, and I are both retired; although I am now an inactive member of the Colorado State Bar. I have written several articles Iin print or on-line.
