| Introduction | I began quilting in a Block of the Month program at a Local Quilt Shop. I figured the $5 investment to get started was a good test to see if I would like quilting. If the block was completed by the time the kit was ready for the following month, the new kit was free! This was great incentive to not procrastinate! I managed to do all 10 months block kits on just the original $5, and it was enough to show me there was alot I didn't know, but it was so terribly fun to do, that I was addicted! Soon, I began making what was at first called Stained Glass Portraits. They were quite popular, and as I began writing my first book, the technique's name was changed to Cut Work Portraits. |
