| Introduction | I am an Episcopal priest who retired from the U.S. Navy Chaplain Corps as a Captain at the end of 2005. My twenty-four years of active Naval service included duty at sea, overseas, with Marines, and teaching philosophy at the Naval Academy and ethics and the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). Since retiring, I've been an author, parish priest, Visiting Professor of Ethics and Public Policy at NPS, consultant, and public speaker.
