| Introduction | I'm a lover of literacy and children of all ages. I am an avid reader of everything from cereal boxes to books to blogs. Reading is very intimate; a relationship between the author and me. I can abandon or pick-up the relationship whenever and wherever I want. But reading is also a social experience. If you can find someone who wants to discuss the latest article, chapter, or posting, such a person is a true friend! I also enjoy writing! I find I scribble down thoughts more than I ever have because of technology. Blogs, emails, social networks, etc. provide interesting audiences. Like many English teachers, however, I still dream of publishing a book - a real, honest-to-goodness novel, with pages and everything. Maybe someday! |
| Interests | Reading, writing, researching, (Having the world of information at my fingertips via the Internet, turned me into a information junkie!) Time and fun with family is my favorite interest - afterall I have 10 GRANDCHILDREN! |
| Favorite Movies | Nearly every film - from chick flicks to action flicks; from period pieces to thrillers - but not blatant horror movies or super corny comedies. I'll let my 4 sons quote them for me; they are funnier than Sadler or Ferrell. |
| Favorite Music | The "Standards" and New Age. I've wearied of most rock and roll, even many songs I loved in high school, but I do enjoy the genre ITunes lists as "rock/pop". Maybe I'm NOT getting so old afterall. |
