About me

Introduction I’m a Christian. I am not a Republican or Democrat (I'm unaffiliated). I believe it's impossible to love your enemy and deliberately harm or kill them. I don't support war. I don't support torture for any reason (or anything close to it). I don't believe it is ever justified to treat another human being poorly. I'm sickened by hate and bigotry toward anyone, in any form (in myself as well as others), especially when it occurs in the name of Christ. I am certain of God’s infinite and unconditional self-sacrificial love for everyone. I am sure that he calls us to love him first and foremost and to love others the way he loves us. Everything else is secondary to these two things. So much is being done these days in the name of God, of Jesus, and of justice that have nothing at all in common with God, Jesus, or justice. It's obscene. What does have to do with God, Jesus, and justice is sacrificial love – the kind of love Jesus modeled in his living and in his dying and commanded his followers to practice as well. I wonder, oh how I wonder, what if we who call ourselves Christians truly did love everyone, including our enemies, with such a sacrificial Calvary-love?
