| Introduction | I was born in Chicago the Railroad Capitol of the World on August 9th, 1961. I as a child can remember my mother telling me that when she would go to my Aunt's house in Evergreen Park, Illinois she would have to drive to Kedzie Avenue instead of going to my other Aunts House first in Oaklawn, Illinois because I had to see the trains running at the grade crossing at 71st Street & Central Park Avenue or else I would start carrying on and pout and cry. So it all started at a young age. I am blessed that I grew up in Chicago with so many Railroads, I only wish I had a time machine so I could see so much that I missed as far a Railroads in Chicago. |
