| Introduction | I'm married, retired and live in Piedmont, Alabama. I love to garden and have a yard full of perennials, roses, annuals etc. I like to feed wild birds too. I've been fortunate in having my garden displayed in several newspaper articles and the 2010 July/August Alabama Gardener Magazine. I'm a 3 time throat cancer survivor and talk with an electronic device now as I lost my vocal cords to cancer in 2000. I've been cancer free for 11 years now. I very lucky to have what I think is a wonderful life and very sure I have a wonderful wife. On my blog I write little stories and have pictures about my gardening adventures as I grew from a novice gardener to paraphrasing Jefferson now," though an old man, I am but a young gardener, well not too old, 62."
