| Introduction | Sloans Creek Heritage Meats, L.L.C. is the marketing business for Sloans Creek Farm, owned by Nathan and Ellen Melson. We market Pastured pork and Grass-Only beef, lamb, and goat. All our livestock are from old-time Heritage breeds. Grass-Only means that our meat is sourced from cattle, sheep, and goats which are raised on an all forage diet in a sustainably managed, non-certified organic grass-farm system. They receive no grain in their diet. The hogs are raised on soil and pasture with Non-GMO grain in their diet. Our meat is raised without the use of hormone implants, routine antibiotics, or chemical dewormers. We believe this produces a superior product for human consumption, is better for the animals' health, better for our natural resources, and how God intended livestock to be raised. |
