| Introduction | My name is Jamie. I've been lucky enough to work in the gaming industry since 2007. I love my job and the people I work with. I'm from FL, so I love the sun/beach and generally hate the DC area winters here. I love to travel, though I've only been outside of the US twice (Quebec), and never been further west than New Orleans. I love and respect my Mom immensely. I have been in love with my Thomas since 2006 :D I identify myself as a vegan since ~2007. I now consume honey and sometimes eggs/seafood. I never purchase leather/wool/down items, nor cosmetics/toiletries tested on animals. It is unnecessary. "Why are you vegan?" For everyone it is different, but for me, it's how the animals are treated and the use of hormones/antibiotics. I understand not all farms are like that, but I just don't need the meat! I don't believe other species' dairy is meant to be consumed by humans, and I can't tolerate it myself. I don't believe that the vegan diet is right for everyone, but I do believe, as a whole, we NEED to consume less animal products if we want to protect the world we live in, produce more food (so no one goes hungry) and often save our own health.
