| Introduction | My name is Christina Valdez and I grew up in a small town. I have only voted twice in my entire life and keep telling myself that I need to change that. Hopefully after my series of government classes that will change. Not only am I taking this class as a requirement but would really like to learn more about Texas Government. After taking the ideology quiz, I am apparently a New Coalition Democrat. I do not consider myself 100 percent Democrat or Republican because I do not feel that I know enough about either party. I got 8 out of 10 right on the Texas General Knowledge Quiz and 4 out of 10 right on the Texas Political Knowledge Quiz. I think that says a lot about my knowledge of politics for my own state. I am confident after this class I will be full of knowledge. |
