| Introduction | I have absolutely nothing in common with Bruce Springsteen other than we are both caucasian and a similar age. In fact I am 9 years younger than Bruce almost to the day. I am female, British, grew up in a middle class family and can neither sing nor play guitar. On top of that I am contented and unambitious and have no burning desire to make my mark on the world...BUT when I pump my fist in the air and sing 'baby we were born to run' I really believe I am. That's the power of Springsteen's music. |
