Introduction The Lady of Shalott is a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson in which he narrates the story of the cursed Lady of Shalott who must continue weaving and disengage herself from the outside world. The story is a symbolic representation of the conflict between art and life. The artist must make the difficult choice between engagement with her inner world and the world outside. This blog is a reflection of my inner world. Most of the writing you encounter here - poetry, fiction and memoirs - is the result of an inward journey. For writings that reflect my more worldly concerns visit www.argumentativeindian.com.
