Introduction Katie Day, MS, RD, CDN, CNSC is a Registered Dietitian with over 5 years experience. She received her undergraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics from Montclair State University and her graduate degree in clinical nutrition from New York University. She underwent over 1550 hours of extensive training through the highly competitive Bronx Veterans Affairs Dietetic Internship program. Her experience includes medical nutrition therapy and nutritional counseling for all age ranges with conditions including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), cardiovascular disease/high cholesterol, heart failure, obesity, weight loss/gain, HIV/AIDS, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis), irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diverticulosis/ diverticulitis, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), food allergies/intolerances including celiac disease, post-surgical nutrition (including bariatrics, gastric, bowel, gallbladder, and pancreatic resection), oncology, stroke, tubefeedings, TPN (intravenous nutrition), vegetarianism, critical care, burns, wound healing.
