Brian O'Connell

About Me

Brian O'Connell has been writing about soccer since before can he can remember, or since 2006. Prior to that, he wrote for SoxProspects.com dispensing his knowledge on all things associated with the Pawtucket Red Sox. As an adolescent, he wrote often to his local paper, the Providence Journal, to bestow an array of incredibly well-thought out opinions on baseball, football and soccer for feature in the now-extinct "Voice of the Fan" section. He discovered his love for sportswriting at age nine, when it was evident that his disposition for creating home-made baseball magazines (Baseball Rookie Report, Backyard Baseball) just wasn't normal. At all. Incredibly, he managed to fail tenth grade English, which spurred/forced him to go to summer school and re-evaluate his life. Luckily, he got most of his stuff back together to create a handful of blogs that are happily taking up their own small, yet valuable, pieces of real estate on the interweb.

"I want my hand back."
