About Me

Welcome! I started this blog on August 4, 2006. I'm a retired elementary school teacher from Toronto, Canada. For two years, I lived and worked in Egypt, teaching Pre-Kindergarten in a school near Cairo. I called my blog "alef, baa', t'a" (the first three letters of the Arabic alphabet), and posted photos and stories about life in Egypt, the children I taught, and my travels. My time in the land of the Pharoes has come to an end but the adventure continues! I've moved across the world to Torreon, Mexico, to serve as Early Childhood Principal of 15 Kindergarten classes at Colegio Americano de Torreon. ¡La vida es buena! (Life is good!)
